Walhi: Dalih Tidak Cukup Bukti untuk Hentikan Kasus Pembakaran Hutan Tak Beralasan

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Wahana Lingkungan Hidup (Walhi) Indonesia menyesalkan tindakan kepolisian yang menghentikan penyidikan terhadap 15 perusahaan yang diduga terlibat dalam pembakaran hutan dan lahan.

Kepala Departemen Kampanye dan Perluasan Jaringan, Khalisah Khalid menilai aparat penegak hukum, dalam hal ini kepolisian, gagal menjawab tantangan penegakan hukum lingkungan yang melibatkan korporasi.

"Alasan tidak cukup (bukti) pun menjadi tidak beralasan, karena sejak awal semua pihak tahu bahwa ini bukan tindak kejahatan biasa, melainkan extraordinary crimes (kejahatan luar biasa)," ujar Khalisah saat dihubungi, Senin
