PT Asahimas Chemical berencana mena

PT Asahimas Chemical berencana menambah investasi senilai US$800 juta untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produk kimianya.
Produk kimia yang akan ditingkatkan produksinya di antaranya soda kostik, vinyl chloride (VCM), dan polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Sementara itu, perusahaan juga akan membangun pembangkit tenaga listrik untuk kebutuhan produksi sebesar 250 MW menggunakan bahan bakar batu bara dengan investasi sekitar US$400 juta. Investasi itu diharapkan selesai pada akhir 2017.
Adapun peningkatan kapasitas yang dilakukan adalah produksi Kostik Soda dari 500.000 ton menjadi 700.000 ton per tahun, VCM dari 400.000 ton menjadi 800.000 ton per tahun dan PVC dari 300.000 ton menjadi 550.000 ton per tahun.
