Sistem pemesanan yang sedang terjadi pada Jaya Rent Car memiliki beberapa kendala bila pemesanan masih dilakukan secara manual diantaranya karyawan Jaya Rent Car harus lebih banyak dan terus menerus berada di tempat untuk menangani pemesanan mobil, jika karyawan tidak berada di tempat atau sudah di luar jam kerja, pelanggan yang ingin melakukan pemesanan mobil akan membuat pemesanan mobil menjadi tertunda. Permasalahan lain yang sering terjadi yaitu informasi ketersediaan mobil rental tidak tersalur dengan cepat ke pelanggan dan pihak Jaya Rent Car juga perlu memeriksa buku pemesanan pada saat pelanggan ingin menyewa mobil yang dilakukan secara manual dengan mencari jadwal pada buku pemesanan mobil sehingga proses sewa mobil membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama karena mobil yang dimiliki oleh Jaya Rent Car cukup banyak. Metode pengembangan sistem menggunakan waterfall dengan tahapan perencanaan sistem, analisis sistem, perancangan sistem menggunakan UML, coding menggunakan PHP dan MySQL, pengujian sistem menggunakan black box testing, implementasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membangun aplikasi persewaan mobil pada Jaya Rent Car yang dapat menyediakan informasi dan pemesanan mobil.
