Kabupaten Garut merupakan kabupaten

Kabupaten Garut merupakan kabupaten yang dinilai sangat luas wilayahnya. Seiring luasnya wilayah di Kabupaten Garut semakin luas juga aspek sarana begitupun prasarananya. Kondisi sarana di kabupaten garut dinilai masih belum baik. Sarana tersebut meliputi seluruh aspek kendaraan, termasuk angkutan kota dan angkutan desa. Arah pengembangan transportasi Kabupaten Garut sudah dituliskan pada Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah. Hal tersebut menjelaskan bahwa pengembangan transportasi merupakan factor yang paling penting untuk memajukan suatu daerah, terutama untuk wilayah studi.
Program yang akan dilakukan di Kabupaten Garut tidak hanya ditujukan untuk LLAJ, sektor lain seperti laut, sungai dan udara juga sangat berpengaruh dalam peningkatan moda transportasi, karena jika antar moda yang satu dengan yang lain dapat diintegrasikan dengan baik, maka suatu sistem terpadu dapat terealisasi dengan baik.
