Aborsi dibagi lagi menjadi aborsi spontan yang terjadi akibat keadaan kondisi fisik yang turun, ketidakseimbangan hormon didalam tubuh, kecelakaan, maupun sebab lainnya. Pengobatannya harus dilakukan kuretase untuk mengeluarkan sisa plasenta ini.
Aborsi komplitus, yaitu aborsi di mana janin & plasenta sudah keluar secara lengkap dari dalam rahim, walaupun masih ada sisa-sisa perdarahan yang kadang masih memerlukan tindakan kuretase untuk membersihkannya.
