Namun hasil tersebut berbeda bila dihitung secara teori, sehingga untuk kondisi tanah dan metode yang digunakan seperti dalam proses penelitian perlu adanya pengembangan terhadap formula yang dikeluarkan oleh ILRI (1994), yaitu dengan menambahkan koefisien koreksi untuk nilai Wfc sebesar 0,076, 0,078, dan 0,042 untuk percobaan 1, 2, dan 3 guna memperoleh hasil perhitungan yang lebih sesuai dengan kondisi sebenarnya.
