Berdasarkan beberapa pengertian bah

Berdasarkan beberapa pengertian bahasa tersebut maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pengertian bahasa adalah sistem yang teratur berupa lambang-lambang bunyi yang digunakan untuk mengekspresikan perasaan dan pikiran bahasa tersebut.
Nah dalam arti dari pengertian bahasa tersebut, hal ini menonjolkan beberapa segi sebagai berikut:
Bahasa adalah sistem. Maksudnya bahasa itu tunduk kepada kaidah-kaidah tertentu baik fonetik, fonemik, dan gramatik. Dengan kata lain bahasa itu tidak bebas tetapi terikat kepada kaidah-kaidah tertentu.
Sistem bahasa itu sukarela (arbitary). Sistem berlaku secara umum, dan bahasa merupakan peraturan yang mendasar. Sebagai contoh: ada beberapa bahasa yang memulai kalimat dengan kata benda seperti Bahasa Inggris, dan ada bahasa yang mengawali kalimatnya dengan kata kerja. Dan seseorang tidak dapat menolak aturan-aturan tersebut baik yang pertama maupun yang kedua. Jadi tidak tunduk kepada satu dialek tertentu.
Bahasa itu pada dasarnya adalah bunyi, dan manusia sudah menggunakan bahasa lisan sebelum bahasa lisan seperti halnya anak belajar berbicara sebelum belajar menulis.
