Hello everyone,

Around the world, many of us will be celebrating holidays with family and friends over the coming weeks. For everyone who will be, I wish you a very happy holiday season. And, as 2015 comes to a close, I want to thank every member of the EY family very much for all of your energy and enthusiasm over the past year. Each of you has made a big difference.

It’s been a great year for us and there have been too many highlights to include all of them in a holiday note such as this. Today, there are about 220,000 EY people building a better working world in more than 150 countries. Over the past 12 months, we admitted a record number of new partners and celebrated more than 28,000 promotions of our people around the world.

We were named as one of the top three global employers in the Universum survey of business students and as one of the Top 25 Best Multinational Workplaces by Great Place to Work. In our Global People Survey, 84% of you told us you are proud to work at EY, a best-in-class result and an all-time high for us. We celebrated the inaugural year of our Better begins with you awards program and 15,000 of us were nominated, either individually or as part of a team. I met the 20 global finalists in London last week and was thoroughly inspired by their stories.

In the 2015 Global Brand Survey, which we have conducted since 2005, we surveyed more than 4,700 business leaders around the world and found that the EY brand is tied for first place among the Big Four – the first time this has happened.

It was a year in which we won great new clients, and started to help long-time clients in new and innovative ways. From the launch of our suite of new audit tools, to our strategic relationship with LinkedIn, to the way we’ve built analytics into many of our services, innovation has been an increasingly important theme for us. It’s one that will undoubtedly grow in the coming years, to the benefit of both our clients and us.

When we get things right for our people, our clients and our brand, then revenue follows. I’m pleased to say that, in 2015, we were the growth leaders among the Big Four for the third year running – something that no Big Four organization has accomplished before.

I hope that you are as proud of all of these achievements as I am. These, and all of the other achievements of the past year that I don’t have space to list, are due to your hard work and your focus on exceptional client service delivered by highest performing teams.

Let me wrap up by thanking you once again. Thank you for living our values and for the huge contributions you make to EY, to our clients and to our communities. I look forward to continuing our momentum into 2016.
