Memberikan pendidikan dan penyuluhan kesehatan kepada individu, keluarga dan masyarakat tentang penanggulangan masalah kesehatan khususnya yang berhubungan dengan pihak terkait kesehatan ibu, anak dan keluarga berencana.
Memberikan layanan konsultasi.
Walaupun sudah dipersiapkan dengan baik serta ditambah pelayanan pascanatal yang sesuai, masih sering timbul masalah menyusui yang perlu ditanggulangi agar laktasi dapat dipertahankan. Anggota Tim Manajemen Laktasi (TML) akan menjawab serta memecahkan masalah mengenai pemberian ASI Eksklusif melalui konsultasi yang bila perlu akan dilanjutkan kunjungan rumah.
