CHAPTER IINTRODUCTION1.1 BackgroundRadiation is electromagnetic waves and particles are negatively charged, with its energy is able to ionize the media path (BATAN, 2009). The radiation source is anything that can cause radiation exposure. Radiation source consisting of natural radiation and artificial radiation. Natural radiation sources like cosmic radiation, whereas artificial radiation such as Alpha radiation, beta radiation, gamma radiation and x-ray radiation (Rasad, 2010). X-ray radiation is one artificial electromagnetic waves that are akin to radio waves, heat and light, but has a very short wavelength, i.e. 1/10,000 the wavelength of visible light, so it has the power to penetrate to the kind of material. X-rays utilized in the field of Radiology for the diagnosis of the disease (Rasad, 2010). Aircraft x-ray are used as a modality radiodiagnostik provides many benefits to enforce the diagnosis. Aircraft x-ray with a complete component can function properly and correctly so that the compliance testing needs to be done to know the performance of the aircraft as x-ray quality assurance. One of the efforts which is a top priority is improving the quality of health care, as he did with health care quality improvement that will increase the efficiency of ongoing health care, which will ultimately have an impact on improving the quality of life of the individual and the degree of public health. Health care quality assurance policy will be the guideline for all parties in the Organization of health service quality. Health care in question is health care in General and the Ministry of health support services particularly particulary Radiology (a decision of the Minister of health of 1250, 2009).
