Pantauan SCTV, Senin (7/2) di Dusun Ulutaue, baik anak-anak maupun dewasa memiliki jari terbelah dua dan terkadang hanya memiliki tiga ruas jari. Alhasil, jika difungsikan, jari mereka mirip dengan kepiting. Fenomena tersebut mereka anggap sebagai kutukan bagi mereka yang berasal dari garis keturunan yang sama.

Kendati demikian, mereka tak pernah malu dengan warga kampung lain. Bahkan hal ini sudah menjadi hal biasa seperti takdir mereka. Bisa jadi, keanehan tersebut terjadi lantaran asupan gizi yang kurang sejak usia dalam kandungan. Maklum, pekerjaan mereka sehari-hari hanyalan nelayan. Ironisnya, hingga sekarang belum satu pun tim medis atau pemerintah setepat meneliti bahkan mengobati para penduduk di kampung itu.

Akibat keanehan pada jari-jari mereka, sebagian warga kampung lain ada yang merasa jijik bergaul dengan mereka. Tak hanya itu, perkampungan mereka pun diberi sebutan "Kampung Manusia Kepiting" oleh warga setempat.(BJK)
