Perpustakaan adalah tempat bagi orang-orang untuk menambah informasi melalui membaca buku dan melakukan kegiatan lain. Perpustakaan di SMA 1 Kudus berada di satu gedung bersama ruang komite, ruang KIR, dan ruang lainnya. Perpustakaan tersebut terdiri dari ruangan dengan dua lantai dengan tangga didalam.
Perpustakaan SMA 1 Kudus lantai 1 memiliki fasilitas empat meja besar yang digunakan untuk menaruh buku yang dipinjam untuk dikembalikan di tempat tesebut, sebagai tempat penjaga perpustakaan untuk melakukan tugaa mereka, dan tempat untuk siswa meminjam buku. Terdapat 3 AC/pendingin ruangan yang berfungsi dengan baik dan tiga komputer yang dua digunakan untuk penjaga perpustakaan mendata buku dan mendata peminjaman juga satu komputer untuk mendata pengunjung yang masuk ke perpustakaan. Ada banyak rak buku kurang lebih sekita 12 rak buku besar yang terbagi berdasarkan genre/jenis buku.
Di lantai 2 juga terdapat rak buku yang bukunya hanya bisa dibaca di tempat itu. Ada juga rak koran dan majalah yang beraneka macam dari berbagai negara dengan berbagai bahasa. Ada rak kamus, video visual maupun audio visual yang bisa digunakan disana, juga disediakan empat komputer yang bisa digunakan untuk mengakses internet. Ruang baca yang ada juga nyaman dengan pendingin ruangan yang sejuk. Perpustakaan SMA 1 Kudus memiliki fasilitas yang secara keseluruhan sudah bagus dan sudah layak untuk digunakan dengan koleksi buku yang banyak yang bisa menambah pengetahuan kita.
