The most crucial residency issues faced today in Indonesia including South Sulawesi is the high population growth accompanied by high populations of women who marry young diusia. To that end, the general objective of this research is to know the trigger factors and a barrier to marriage age younger than women. As for the specific purpose of this research is to 1). Mapping the pattern of the age of the first marriage of women on the Mainland and the coastal areas of the Islands; (2) identify and. analyzing the factors that triggers and a barrier that contributes greatly to the occurrence of the young age of marriage of women on the Mainland and the coastal areas of the Islands; and (4) design the best strategy in the control of female marriage age in the area of land and coastal island in South SulawesiTo achieve the purpose of the study, this research was carried out in the Selayar Regency, Soppeng and each represents the area of land and territories pesir Islands. The data used are sourced from primary data and secondary data. Primary data will be collected through the survey approach using a combination of direct observation and interviews using questionnaire tool. (2) a logistic Regression to identify and analyze the factors triggers and the main barrier to contributing towards the occurrence of marriage the young age of the women in the area of land in the coastal areas and Islands; (3) Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to design the best strategies in various alternative control marriage the woman young age on both the region's topilogi The results showed that the pattern of the age of the first marriage of women is more bergagam of wedding events with young age is also higher in the region than mainland women in the territory of the pesisr Islands. The occurrence of the young age of marriage in the Mainland are mainly triggered by factors of pregnant outside of wedlock, family gossip, media influence koban permissive, matchmaking, marriage, regulations and laws; whereas in the coastal area of Islands, mainly triggered by pregnant outside of marriage and an arranged marriage. While the main factors that hampered the occurrence of marriage age in the area of land is the education of women, economic independence, risk tolerance, education, economic stability, the husband and parent education; whereas in the coastal area of these islands, the main factor being penghambatnya is the education of women, economic independence, educational, geographic mobility, access service husband, the stability of the economy, parent education, and Government pogram. Because of the trigger factors and main penghabat the occurrence of such a young age, marriage consists of many factors, then the best alternative strategies to control marriage the young age of the women in the area of land in the coastal regions and Islands should be done with a holistic approach. In the area of land is a combination of the best alternative strategies: (a) increased knowledge and awareness of women and the parents of the importance of higher education and quality; (b) strengthening norms, mores and culture who resist/obstruct young age of marriage; (c) legal protection against forced marriage and sanction the offense; and (d) the granting of capital support on women and entrepreneurship for his parents. While in the coastal region of Islands, the best combination of alternative strategies: (a) improved understanding of reproductive health and awareness against risk of marrying a young age; (b) legal protection against forced marriage and sanction the offense; (c) the strengthening of the norms, customs and cultures that deny/inhibit young age of marriage; and (d) the granting of financing support in poor teens to stay in school and continue his studies.
