MOSFET merupakan komponen semikondu

MOSFET merupakan komponen semikonduktor daya yang memiliki tiga terminal, yaitu: gerbang, sumber (source), dan pengalir (drain). MOSFET bekerja atas dasar prinsip kendali-tegangan (voltage-driven). Gambar (a), (b), dan (c) masing-masing ditunjukkan symbol MOSFET, karakteristik MOSFET, dan karakteristik ideal MOSFET sebagai sakelar. Rangkaian pengaturan ON dan OFF dengan piranti MOSFET lebih mudah dibandingkan piranti transistor.
