Aku jatuh cinta pada Turki sejak pertama kali aku datang ke Turki untuk wisata tahun 2013. Turki merupakan negara yang sangat menarik. Negara ini memiliki banyak sekali sejarah besar yang tidak dapat aku temukan di negara lain. Turki mampu memanfaatkan situs bersejarah menjadi sumber penghasilan negaranya. Sehingga banyak wisatawan dari berbagai penjuru dunia termasuk aku datang dan terkesan dengan negara ini. Aku pikir jika dunia menunjuk satu kota untuk dijadikan ibukota dunia, tentu saja pemenangnya adalah Istanbul. Dimana lagi aku dapat menemukan Istanbul? Jawabannya adalah Turki. Hanya Istanbul yang dibangun di dua benua Asia dan Eropa yang dipisahkan dengan jembatan Bosphorus yang berdiri megah. Disana aku merasakan perpaduan antara budaya Asia dan Eropa, hal ini membuatku semakin terkesan. Saat aku di Turki, aku berpindah dari satu kota ke kota lain, setiap kota memiliki panorama yang indah dan keunikannya sendiri. Banyak pengalaman dan pelajaran berharga yang aku dapatkan disana.

Alasan lain adalah, Turki merupakan negara mayoritas islam seperti Indonesia, dengan masyarakatnya yang ramah dan baik, membuatku merasa nyaman dan betah saat tinggal di Turki. Ikatan persaudaraan antara Indonesia dan Turki sangat aku rasakan saat aku berkunjung. Lebih dari itu, aku menempatkan Turki sebagai rumah kedua setelah Indonesia. Sejak saat itu, aku memutuskan untuk melanjutkan sekolah di Turki apalagi beberapa universitas termasuk universitas terbaik di dunia. Walaupun pada saat itu aku masih SMA dan harus menunggu hingga lulus. Tapi pilihanku tidak berubah, itu selalu Turki. Dan keputusanku sangat didukung oleh orangtuaku karena mereka juga sangat menyukai Turki. Ketertarikanku terhadap Turki tidak berhenti disitu, aku mulai belajar bahasa Turki dari Internet. It was fun. Aku harap aku bisa tinggal lebih lama di Turki, kali ini tidak sebagai turis tapi sebagai murid disalah satu universitas.
