Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin berkembang saat ini, media penyimpanan online (cloud storage) berperan sangat penting bagi seseorang maupun perusahaan dalam hal penyimpanan data yang menginginkan datanya aman dan rahasia. Dropbox merupakan salah satu media penyimpanan online yang sangat berkembang dan banyak digunakan saat ini. Dropbox dapat diakses langsung melalui website resmi dropbox atau dengan menginstall aplikasi dekstop dropbox. Aplikasi Dekstop dropbox yang digunakan dirasa sangat membebani resource memori dikarenakan aplikasi yang terus berjalan di background service yang melakukan update file yang ada di dalam server dropbox. Oleh karena itu perlu penelitian untuk merancang dan membangun sebuah aplikasi klien alternatif yaitu aplikasi klien cloud storage dropbox dengan HTTP Request. Penelitian ini akan merancang dan membangun Aplikasi klien yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan dropbox API serta dibangun dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman delphi dan Metode Pengembangan Sistem Rapid Application Development (RAD). Penelitian ini juga bertujuan agar penggunanya dapat menggunakan aplikasi ini dengan mudah tanpa mendowload aplikasi desktop bawaan dari dropbox serta tidak membebani resource memorinya.
