Model pengembangan inverter pengatur frekuensi ini mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE. Model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu: (1) Analisis; (2) Desain; (3) Pengembangan; (4) Implementasi; (5) Evaluasi. Proses validasi dilaksanakan oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan melakukan implementasi pada uji kelompok kecil dan uji kelompok besar. Validasi bertujuan untuk mengukur kelayakan produk yang dikembangkan. Validasi menggunakan angket skala Likert yang kemudian dianalisis. Analisis digunakan untuk menentukan kelayakan media sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan
Produk yang dihasilkan berupa Trainer, handout, dan jobsheet. Tahap pertama dilakukan validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dilanjutkan dengan menguji cobakan trainer dalam pembelajaran. Sampel sasaran ujicoba adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2011 dan 2012. Persentase hasil validasi ahli materi 87%, ahli media 89,2%. Dan hasil validasi dan uji coba pada kelompok kecil 84,40%, dan kelompok besar 89,2%. Dari hasil validasi dan ujicoba dapat disimpulkan produk yang dihasilkan memenuhi kriteria layak dan secara keseluruhan menunjukkan produk dapat diimplementasikan dalam pelajaran
