Bercerita tentang sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan para ilmuan demi mencari obat Alzheimer. Mereka meneliti tiga ekor hiu yang menurut penelitian mereka memiliki kandungan yang bisa menyembuhkan penyakit yang belum ada obatnya ini. Tapi dalam penelitianya, salah seorang dokter bernama Susan McAlester melanggar kode etik penelitian. Ia malah membuat salah satu hiu itu memiliki ukuran otak yang lebih besar yan membuat hiu itu jadi lebih cerdas dan menjadi berbahaya.
