Pelaku bullying terhadap anak dapat dipidana berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 tentang Perlindungan Anak (“UU Perlindungan Anak”) sebagaimana yang telah diubah oleh Undang-undang Nomor 35 tahun 2014 tentang Perubahan Atas Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 Tentang Perlindungan Anak (“UU 35/2014”) yakni pasal tentang perlakuan kekejaman, kekerasan atau ancaman kekerasan, atau penganiayaan terhadap anak.
