Gempa Bumi di DIY 2006

Pada 27 Mei 2006, sabtu pagi pukul 5.53 WIB terjadi gempa bumi yang mengguncang daerah saudaranya ayahku tepatnya di Kabupaten Bantul, Yogyakarta dan sekitarnya dengan kekuatan 6.2 skala ritcher, selama 57 detik. Pada saat itu saudaraku sedang menjalankan aktivitasnya masing-masing di rumah. Ketika terdengar guncangan besar di tanah kemudian seluruh saudaraku keluar dari rumahnya dan menyelamatkan barang barangnya yang sangat penting.
Banyak korban yang berjatuhan di sana kurang lebih 6.234 orang. Tapi saudaraku selamat dari gempa bumi dan langsung dilarikan ke posko terdekat di sana. Namun seluruh rumah saudaraku hancur total dan begitu juga rumah tetangganya. Ketika mendengar bencana tersebut kemudian ayahku dan keluargaku pergi ke yogyakarta dari malang untuk melihat kondisi saudaraku. Yang Pada saat itu aku masih kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar dan tidak tahu apa yang terjadi sebenarnya. Tapi aku tetap bahagia karena saudaraku selamat dan bisa berkumpul bersama lagi.
