Kemajuan teknologi sangat pesat dan mendunia pada saat ini. Sistem informasi banyak membantu kehidupan banyak orang yang salah satunya berkaitan dengan pengolahan data. Sehingga banyak perorangan, instansi, perusahaan dan lain sebagainya seolah tidak dapat melepaskan diri dari bantuan sistem informasi. Dari pengumpulan data yang dilakukan penulis menunjukkan bahwa sistem pembayaran administrasi siswa pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama MUHAMMADIYAH PURWODADI masih menggunakan sistem manual, sehingga dalam proses pembayaran dan pengolahan data diperlukan waktu yang cukup lama.
Maksud dari pengumpulan data pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama MUHAMMADIYAH PURWODADI untuk mengetahui proses dalam proses pembayaran dan pengolahan data. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode wawancara, kearsipan dan kepustakaan. Terkumpulnya data tersebut sebagai dasar dibuatnya perancangan sistem kedalam pemodelan sistem informasi berupa flowchart dan DFD. Aplikasi yang digunakan adalah Netbeans 7.03, Adobe Photoshop CS 3, dan XAMPP-win32-1.7.0.
Dengan menggunakan sistem berbasis komputerisasi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja pegawai dalam mengolah data pembayaran, untuk memperlancar aktivitas pembayaran. Sistem dapat melakukan proses input data, pencarian data, dan laporan secara efektif dan efisien. Oleh sebab itu, pembuatan aplikasi pembayaran administrasi siswa harapannya dapat memudahkan dalam input data pembayaran, baik pembayaran Sumbangan Pembinaan Pendidikan (infaq), tabungan, dan uang gedung, serta dapat memberikan laporan untuk pihak Kepala Sekolah.
