Penyanyi bernama lengkap Sri Rossa Roslaina Handiyani, atau yang akrab disapa Rossa, lahir di Sumedang, 9 Oktober 1978. Wanita jobolan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Universitas Indonesia ini merupakan anak pertama dari tiga bersaudara pasangan Ukas Hasan Irawan dan Eni Kusmiani.

Rossa mewarisi bakat menyanyi yang sudah ia tunjukkan sejak kecil dari ibunya. Bahkan menginjak usia 10 tahun, Rossa sudah merilis sebuah album anak-anak berjudul "Untuk Sahabatku" (1988). Namun album tersebut gagal menyedot perhatian publik.

Nama Rossa melambung ketika ia merilis album dewasa pertamanya yang bertajuk "Nada Nada Cinta" (1996).
