Tingkat distribusi pembangunan berbagai sektor di Indonesia yang belum merata, terutama pada wilayah pedesaan luar Jawa, menyebabkan banyak desa mengalami masalah ketertinggalan pada hampir semua aspek atau sektor, termasuk desa-desa di sekitar Binanga. Hal ini adalah suatu ironi karena penerimaan devisa negara sangat besar dari pembangunan dan pengembangan usaha ekonomi produktif berskala besar yang terjadi di pedesaan, terutama di luar Jawa, termasuk diantaranya usaha perkebunan kelapa sawit
