Pada era ini disebut sebagai turky negara yang merdeka dari kekuasaan, sejak runtuhnya khalifah Utsmani , ini menandakan awal mulana Turky sebagai negara republik , disini banyak orang orang yang ikut andil dalam menjadikan Turky negara republik, diantaranya kaum nasionalis, kemudian para ulama dan kaum intelektual dan tidak lupa dukungan dari masyarakat yang mulai menginginkan perubahan , karena pada saat itu negara Turky usmani ,mengalami krisis ekonomi dan sosial
Diantara faktor kemunduran Kerajaan Turki Usmani adalah:
Pertama, luasnya wilayah kekuasaan usmani yang akhirnya tidak mampu dikendalikan dari pusat.
Kedua, pemberontakan yang yang terjadi di turky
Ketiga, penguasa yang tidak cakap
Keempat, akibat sejumlah peperangan yang membawa Turki Usmani pada kekalahan, menyebabkan perekonomian Usmani semakin terpuruk dari waktu ke waktu.
Keempat, ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang dibutuhkan oleh militer tidak terlalu berkembang.
Kelima, tumbuhnya gerakan nasionalisme di wilayah-wilayah yang selama ini dikuasai oleh Turki Usmani.
