Kegiatan Eksplorasi dan Produksi Mi

Kegiatan Eksplorasi dan Produksi Minyak dan Gas di Indonesia telah berlangsung lebih dari 100 tahun. Data hasil kegiatan ini sangat banyak jumlah dan variasinya dan tersimpan dalam berbagai format dan media simpan. Hal tersebut juga terjadi pada data spatial yang ada saat ini serta masih menggunakan berbagai sistem koordinat yang beragam seperti bessel, wgs72 atau lainnya. Menyadari pentingnya data spatial bagi kegiatan EP Minyak dan Gas Bumi, pemerintah berinisiatif untuk menstandarkan semua sistem koordinat yang ada kedalam sistem koordinat DGN95 (WGS84). Untuk menghasilkan data spatial yang benar dan akurat tentunya diperlukan kegiatan verifikasi dan pengukuran ulang dilapangan sebagai bagian dari komitmen pemerintah.
