material retaining ground is one of the Geotechnical Engineering. In the use of geotextile and soil for reinforcement purposes laterite road required parameters of laterit and its interaction with the geotextile. On the planning and execution of the work in the field, the shear strength parameter used is the value of the ratio of the angle of shearing the soil and geotextile interfaces. The value of the ratio of the shear angle of soil and geotextile interfaces is a comparison of the value soil interface friction angle-geotextile () and internal friction angle of laterit ().
the determination of shear angle ratio parameter interface (/) on the shear strength of the soil-geotextile laterite derived from direct shear test method ASTM D 3080-70. Laterite soil is compacted laterite soils using a test proctor maximum density on the conditions or have a value of optimum water content. Laterite soil that is used comes from two locations in the province of Central Kalimantan are distinguished based on the distance is much closer to the city of Palangka Raya. While the types of geotextile used is Geo-reinforcement HRX 250 and 300 HRX.
From research results obtained that the value of the ratio of the shear angle interface (/) soil of Palangka Raya laterite based on two samples of different jenisgeoteksti where the use of woven geotextile reinforcement HRX250 (smooth)/ value gained 0.81 to 0,90 and woven geotextile reinforcement at the HRX 300 (a bit rough) value/ gained 0.75 to 0,77. The value of the ratio/ not too large geotextile characteristics that are affected by the mass of geotextile reviewed, strong pull of geotextile and nilaielongasi geotextile. However, the characteristics and the type of soil can be a big influence on the value of the resulting /.
