Penulis mengikuti heuritik interpretif, konstruktivis dan objek kritis untuk menentukan karakter dalam suatu kondisi, yang kali ini adalah mengenai keragaman agama di sekolah-sekolah umum.Dengan heuristic, mereka dapat menemukan makna bagi mereka yang beragam agama di sekolah tersebut. Penerapan heuristic ini dapat membantu saya memahami bagaimana mengatur keragaman agama di sekolah dalam konteks social, karena perspektif mereka yang menganggap pendidikan dan agama itu perlu suatu galian/ rekonstruksi dan tafsiran agar dapat betul- betul dipahami
