Perum PPD adalah sebuah perusahaan BUMN yang di kelola oleh kementrian perhubungan, perusahaan ini bergerak di bidang Transportasi darat yang dulunya memiliki beberapa jenis bus, pada anggaran 2015 pemerintah memberikan bantuan bus yaitu berupa Bus Rappid Transit atau yang biasa di kenal oleh masyarakat dengan sebutan busway. BRT ini di lahirkan dengan prinsip pelayanan masyarakat dengan mempermudah masyarakat untuk berpindah dari satu tempat ke tempat lain dengan biaya yang merakyat, pelayanan ini di buat dengan tujuan masyarakat lebih mencintai angkutan umum sehingga penggunaan kendaraan pribadi bisa kurang dengan sendirinya.
