Cultural violence merupakan kekeras

Cultural violence merupakan kekerasan (langsung atau struktural) yang tidak dianggap salah oleh masyarakat karena dilakukan dengan mengatasnamakan tradisi, budaya, adat, dan bahkan agama. Cultural violence membuat kekerasan langsung dan struktural terlihat, bahkan terasa benar, atau setidaknya tidak salah, seperti yang dikatakan Galtung dalam bukunya “Cultural violence makes direct and structural violence look, even feel, right or at least not wrong.”
