Semakin mudahnya orang untuk memiliki mobil yang menjadikan pertumbuhan jumlah mobil di Indonesia semakin meningkat dari hari ke hari, selain itu dengan pesatnya perkembangan industri otomotif menjadikan usaha bengkel mobil terus berkembang.Bengkel selalu memberikan service pada tiap-tiap mobil mulai dari skala ringan sampai berat,agar mobil tetap aman dan nyaman selama dikendarai.Maja Jaya Abadi adalah bengkel mobil yang beralamat di Jl. Raya Surodinawan No. 3, Mojokerto.Setiap harinya memiliki banyak pelanggan dan rata-rata mobil yang diperbaiki kurang lebih 4-10 mobil perhari.Namun pelayanan servis masih mengadopsi sistem manual.Hal ini menimbulkan pemrosesan data menjadi informasi yang diperlukan oleh bagian administrasi tidak berjalan dengan baik.Terdapat banyak kesalahan yang terjadi sehingga memunculkan kendala ketidakakuratan dan keterlambatan informasi yang dihasilkan.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat suatu sistem informasi pengolahan data pelayanan servis mobil dan ketersediaan sparepart pada gudang berbasis komputerisasi.Sistem Informasi ini dirancang dengan menggunakan CSS, PHP dan MySql.Sehingga dapat mengelola data transaksinya dengan lebih baik, cepat, dan akurat, yang dapat menghasilkan laporan-laporan yang berguna untuk kemajuan bengkel, serta menyediakankemudahan pelayanan kepada pelanggan.
Sebagi salahsatu wujud pelayanan terhadap pelangga sistem informasi servis memanfaatkan aplikasi Short Message Service (SMS)Gateway sebagi reminder (pengingat) untuk mengingatkan pemilik mobil agar dapat secara teratur melakukan servis pada kendaraanya.Untuk membangun aplikasi SMS reminderinidirancang denga memanfaatkanGammu.SehinggaSMS reminderakan sampai pada pelanggan seminggu sebelum jadwal servis berikutnya yang sudah ditentukan oleh pihak bengkel.
