Dalam pelaksanaan studi lapangan, seperti dapat dilihat pada Tabel 2, umumnya di setiap kecamatan sampel diwakili oleh satu desa/kelurahan sampel yang memiliki kategori kepesertaan PKH yang sama seperti rancangan awal studi ini. Namun di tiga kecamatan sampel dengan kategori PKH transisi rendah, yaitu di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Kota Bitung, dan Kabupaten Timor Tengan Selatan (TTS) ada penyesuaian jumlah desa/kelurahan yang menjadi sampel karena terbatasnya jumlah penerima PKH graduasi. Dengan demikian, lokasi studi di tiga kabupaten/kota tersebut masing-masing mencakup 3, 2, dan 2 desa/kelurahan sampel. Rancangan awal lokasi studi dapat dilihat pada Tabel lampiran 1.
