PERSEPSI MAHASISWA TERHADAP GOOGLE BOOK SEARCH SEBAGAI PENELUSURAN INFORMASI DALAM MENDUKUNG PENYUSUNAN SKRIPSI DI FAKULTAS ADAB DAN ILMU BUDAYA UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Persepsi Mahasiswa terhadap Google Book Search Sebagai Penelusuran Informasi dalam Mendukung Penyusunan Skripsi Fakultas Adab dan Ilmu Budaya UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap google book search sebagai penelusuran informasi dalam mendukung penyusunan skripsi Fakultas Adab dan Ilmu Budaya UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuesioner/angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling kuota. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2011 Fakultas Adab dan Ilmu Budaya UIN Sunan Kalijaga dengan jumlah sampel 80 mahasiswa. Data diolah dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS 16.0 for windows. Analisis data menggunakan rumus deskriptif persentase. Hasil dari penelitian ini secara keseluruhan baik yaitu 2,77. Berdasarkan rata-rata skor tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa terhadap google book search sebagai penelusuran informasi dalam mendukung penyusunan skripsi di Fakultas Adab dan Ilmu Budaya UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta dapat digolongkan baik. Adapun persepsi tertinggi berdasarkan rata-rata skor adalah mendapat informasi penerbit yaitu 2,97. Sedangkan persepsi terendah berdasarkan rata-rata skor adalah mendapat informasi buku-buku langka yaitu 2,67.

The purpose of this research is to know the perceptions of students against google book search as a search of information in support of the preparation of the thesis Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The method used was a questionnaire method/question form, observation, and interviews. Sampling sampling techniques using quotas. The subjects in this study are students force 2011 Faculty of Adab and UIN Sunan Kalijaga cultural studies with a total sample of 80 students. The data was processed using SPSS 16.0 for windows help. Data analysis using a descriptive percentage formula. The results of this research in its entirety either i.e. 2.77. Based on the average score can be inferred that the perceptions of students against google book search as a search of information in support of the preparation of the thesis in the Faculty of Adab and UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Culture can be classified either. As for the highest perception based on the average score was informed the Publisher that is 2.97. While the perception is based on the lowest average score was informed of rare books i.e. 2.67.Keywords: google book search, information retrieval.

The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of google book search as search information in support of the preparation of the thesis Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Sunan Kalidjaga Yogyakarta. This research is quantitative descriptive. The method used is the method of questionnaires / questionnaire, observation, and interviews. Sampling using quota sampling technique. Subjects in this study were students of class of 2011 Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Sunan Kalidjaga with a sample of 80 students. The data is processed by using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. Data analysis using descriptive formula percentage. Results of this study was overall good, namely 2.77. Based on the average score can be concluded that students' perceptions of google book search as search information in support of the preparation of the thesis at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Sunan Kalijaga can be classified either. The highest perception based on the average scores are received information publisher that is 2.97. While the lowest perception based on the average scores are being informed of rare books is 2.67.
