BLM I tahun 1997, dilaksanakan tgl 21-24 Juli 1997 di Hotel Marau (Biak), telah membentuk dan menugaskan Joint Sub Committee on the Establishment of The Border Post, guna melakukan berbagai persiapan perencanaan pembangunan Border Post kedua negara.
