Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penataan permukiman nelayan di Boneoge sejatinya diadaptasikan dari karakter lingkungan yang khas pesisir serta kehidupan sosial penghuninya sebagai nelayan. Aspek tersebut berimplikasi terhadap bentuk penataan dan fasilitas permukiman yang khas dan spesifik dalam konteks nelayan seperti ruang/wadah pengolahan ikan. Selain itu dibutuhkan ruang terbuka (open space) sebagai pembuatan kapal, dan tempat tambat kapal/perahu nelayan. Selain sebagai nelayan penghuni juga berperan sebagai petani ketika tidak melaut, sehingga dalam kompleks permukiman ini juga perlu dilengkapi dengan ruang dan fasilitas pengolahan hasil pertanian.
