A total of 10 Indonesian nationals died and dozens more unaccounted for after the boat they were traveling sank in Turkish Batu Layar, Johor, Malaysia.
Data while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs showed the ship departed from Johor, Malaysia, towards Batam, Indonesia, was carrying 62 people. Of these, 10 bodies have been found and as many as 34 people were rescued. Thus there are 18 other passengers were in the search process by rescuers.

Protection Director citizen, Kemenlu RI , then Muhammad Iqbal, said only two bodies that can be identified visually by their families in Malaysia.
"As in similar cases previously, one of the challenges in the identification is the condition of the bodies as well as the absence of identification that can be used as a reference. Foreign Ministry has coordinated with DVI Police to anticipate needs help the identification process, "said Lalu.
