DRAMA SCRIPT WRITING IMPROVEMENT EFFORTSPROBLEM-BASED LEARNING, STRATEGY(PROBLEM BASED LEARNING) THE STUDENTS OF CLASS XI LANGUAGEMAN CITY IIBy: Puspitasari 08201244040 ABSTRACTThis research aims to improve the ability of writing a screenplay on the students of Class XI Language MAN Yogyakarta II through strategy-based learning problems (problem based learning).This research is research conducted in class action MAN Yogyakarta II. The subject of this research is the grade XI Language consisting of 34 students. This research consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning (planning), implementation of actions (acting), observation (observing) and reflection (reflecting). This research is conducted collaboratively between the researchers of literary language teachers together with Indonesia. Data collection techniques used in this research include observation, assessment of writing skills, question form, interviews with teachers and students, scoring guidelines were analyzed qualitatively. The data obtained were analyzed by qualitative descriptions are supported by quantitative data. The data analysis techniques in the study viewed from process of data analysis and data analysis products or results. The validity of the data obtained through the validity of (the results, process, democratic and dialogis) and reliability (question form, observation, field notes, photographs and documentation). The results of this research show that learning through drama script writing strategies-based learning problems (problem based learning) can enhance learning, writing in particular on student drama script writing class XI Language MAN Yogyakarta II. Increased learning writing students looked at the quality of the learning process demonstrated by the liveliness and enthusiasm of students when doing the writing so as to create an atmosphere of an active discussion and fun for students. An increase in the product can be seen from the increase in score from results prior to the implementation of the action and after the implementation of the action. This aspect of the assessment consisted of: a) dialogue, b) cast/character background, c), d) plot or storyline, e) mandate, f) text aside. Every aspect in the assessment have the highest value and lowest value 5 1. The median value of script writing ability rataa drama students from the pratindakan of 33,94 or 5.65, on cycle I of 40.30 or 6,71 and cycle II sebersar 46,63 atau7,77. So, the upgrade script writing drama students from pratindakan to the cycle II of 37.52%.
