Evaporator dan kondensor AC jenis ini menjadi satu bagian.Biasanya AC jenis ini dipakai untuk ruangan kecil.
3. AC Split
AC jenis ini evaporatornya terpisah dari kondensor.Evaporator dipasang menempel pada dinding (indoor) dan kondensor dipasang di bagian luar (outdoor).Biasanya AC jenis ini dipakai untuk ruangan kecil tanpa mengurangi estetika ruangan.
4. Floor Standing Split
AC jenis ini mirip juga dengan AC split tetapi evaporatornya dipasang berdiri di lantai. Biasanya AC jenis ini dipakai untuk ruangan besar.

1. Kompresor
Kompresor memiliki tugas sebagai pemompa bahan pendingin ke seluruh bagian.Caranya dengan menghisap gas bertekananrendah dan bersuhu rendah dari evaporator kemudian menekan/memampatkan gas tersebut sehingga menjadi gas dengan tekanan dan suhu tinggi lalu dialirkan ke kondensor.
