Teknologi informasi adalah seperangkat alat yang membantu anda bekerja dengan informasi dan melakukan tugas-tugas yang berhubungan dengan pemrosesan informasi. Teknologi informasi tidak hanya terbatas pada teknologi komputer (perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak) yang akan digunakan untuk memproses dan menyimpan informasi, melainkan juga mencakup teknologi komunikasi untuk mengirim informasi. Dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada PT. Astra International, Tbk-Daihatsu Pekanbaru teknologi informasi merupakan bagian penting dari proses bisnis perusahaan. Tanpa teknologi informasi yang baik maka akan menyebabkan terganggunya kinerja perusahaan. Oleh karena itu dilakukannya audit dengan menggunakan framework COBIT 5. Domain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah DSS02 (Manage Service Requests and Incidents), DSS05 (Manage Security Services), dan DSS06 (Manage Business Process Controls).
