Fuzzifikasi adalah sebuah proses yang bertujuan mengubah inputan analog menjadi set variabel fuzzy. Semakin banyak variabel fuzzy semakin tinggi akurasi, namun memerlukan proses yang lebih lama dari bentuk tegas (crisp) menjadi fuzzy (variabel linguistik) yang biasanya disajikan dalam bentuk tegas dengan suatu fungsi keanggotaan masing – masing. Fungsi keanggotaannya adalah fungsi linear, kurva segitiga, kurva trapesium.[2],[8]
