Pertama kali yang harus difahami adalah bahwa Quran merupakan kitab kumpulan ayat-ayat yang proses pembukuannya tidak disusun berdasarkan urutan dikeluarkannya/disampaikannya ayat-ayat tersebut, melainkan dikelompokkan menurut sebuah aturan tertentu.
Inilah sebabnya kenapa sering kali sebuah pokok bahasan / topik tertentu tidak hanya terdapat dalam satu surat, tetapi juga tersebar pada surah-surah lain.
