Akar kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L)

Akar kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L) Merr) merupakan tanaman herbal yang diketahui sebagai agen hepatoprotektor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan ekstrak etanol akar kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L) Merr) dalam menurunkan aktivitas enzim alkaline phosphatase (ALP) dan bilirubin.
Penelitian bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan post test only control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan tikus putih jantan galur wistar sebanyak 30 ekor yang terbagi dalam 6 kelompok. Kelompok I, sebagai perlakuan kelompok normal yang tidak diberikan perlakuan apapun, Kelompok II (kontrol) hewan uji diberi CCl4 dosis 0,5mL/kgBB (i.p), Kelompok III IV,V : hewan uji diberi etanol akar kuning dengan dosis 100 mg/kgBB, 250 mg/kgBB, 500 mg/kgBB dan CCl4 dosis 0,5mL/kgBB(i.p). Kelompok VI : hewan uji diberi suspensi standar curcumin dosis 300 mg/kgBB dan CCl4 dosis 0,5mL/kgBB . Darah diambil melalui sinus orbitalis untuk diuji aktivitas enzim Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) dan bilirubin. Aktivitas enzim alkaline phosphatase (ALP) dan bilirubin kemudian diuji statistik
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar ALP dari pemberian ekstrak etanol akar kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L) Merr) dengan dosis 125, 250 dan 500 mg/ kgBB, Curcumin, dan kontrol berturut-turut 65.34 ± 0.76 U/L, 60.65 ± 1.95 U/L, 53.21 ± 1.57 U/L, 46.04 ± 2.50 U/L, 86.29 ± 0.01 U/L dan kadar bilirubin dari pemberian ekstrak etanol akar kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L) Merr) dengan dosis 125, 250 dan 500 mg/ kgBB, curcumin, dan kontrol berturut-turut 1.35 ± 0.12mg/dL, 0.97 ± 0.08 mg/dL, 0.68 ± 0.08 mg/dL, 0.50 ± 0.08 mg/dL, dan 1.94 ± 0.19 mg/dL.
Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ekstrak etanol akar kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L) Merr) dapat menurunkan kadar ALP dan bilirubin.

The purpose of this research is to know the ability of ethanol extract yellow root (Arcangelisia flava (l.) Merr) in lower alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity (ALP) and bilirubin. Research of experimental nature with the draft post test only control group design. This research uses a white male wistar strain rats as many as 30 of the tail which are divided into 6 groups. The conclusions of the study results showed that ethanol extract yellow root (Arcangelisia flava (l.) Merr) can lower levels of ALP and bilirubin.
