Yellow root (Arcangelisia flava (l.) Merr) is a herbal plant known as a hepatoprotector agent. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of ethanol extract yellow root (Arcangelisia flava (l.) Merr) in lower alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity (ALP) and bilirubin. Research of experimental nature with the draft post test only control group design. This research uses a white male wistar strain rats as many as 30 of the tail which are divided into 6 groups. Group I, as a normal group of treatment are not given any treatment, group II (control) animals given a test dose of CCl4 0, 5 ml/kgBB (i. p), group III IV, v: test animals given ethanol yellow root with a dose of 100 mg/250 mg, kgBB/kgBB, 500 mg/dose of CCl4 kgBB and 0, 5 ml/kgBB (i. p.). Group VI: the test animals were given a standard dose of curcumin suspension 300 mg/dose of CCl4 kgBB and 0, 5 ml/kgBB. Blood is drawn through the sinus orbitalis for Alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity is tested (ALP) and bilirubin. Enzyme activity alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and bilirubin is then tested statisticsThe results showed that levels of ethanol extracts of granting ALP root yellow (Arcangelisia flava (l.) Merr) with a dose of 125, 250 and 500 mg/kgBB, Curcumin, and successive control 65.34 ± 0.76 U/L, 60.65 ± 1.95 U/L, 53.21 ± 1.57 U/L, 46.04 ± 2.50 U/L, 86.29 ± 0.01 U/L and bilirubin levels of ethanol extract yellow root administering (Arcangelisia flava (l.) Merr) with a dose of 125 , 250 and 500 mg/kgBB, curcumin, and successive control of 1.35 ± 0.12 mg/dL, 0.97 ± 0.08 mg/dL, 0.68 ± 0.08 mg/dL, 0.50 ± 0.08 mg/dL, and 1.94 ± 0.19 mg/dL. The conclusions of the study results showed that ethanol extract yellow root (Arcangelisia flava (l.) Merr) can lower levels of ALP and bilirubin.
