ABSTRAK. Kegiatan pelatihan empathy character building di lingkungan sekolah inklusi dilaksanakan dalam rangka mengembangkan empati siswa regular terhadap siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan empati pada siswa reguler terhadap siswa ABK Sekolah Dasar Inklusi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian quasi eksperimen pretest posttest design. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas 4 sampai dengan 6 Sekolah Dasar Negeri Inklusi Sumbersari II. Pelatihan empathy character building dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali kegiatan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa skala empati. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis paired t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pelatihan emphaty character building terhadap peningkatan empati siswa sekolah dasar inklusi. Nilai rata-rata (mean) sebelum diberikan pelatihan emphaty character building adalah sebesar 34.3667, sementara setelah diberikan pelatihan emphaty character building adalah sebesar 35.6333. Berarti empati siswa sebelum pelatihan emphaty character building lebih kecil daripada setelah diberikan pelatihan, sehingga terlihat ada peningkatan nilai mean setelah diberikan pelatihan sebesar 1.2666.

Abstract. Empathy training character building in the neighborhood of the school inclusion is implemented in order to develop the student's regular empathy towards students in need. The goal in this research is to improve the knowledge and skills of empathy on regular students against students of HER elementary school inclusion. The methods used in this research was quasi experimental research method pretest posttest design. Participants in the study were 30 grade 4 up to 6 Elementary School Inclusion Sumbersari Country II. Empathy training character building activities was carried out twice. Research instrument used in the form of empathy scale. The data were analyzed using paired t test analysis techniques. The results showed the existence of the character building training emphaty influence towards increasing empathy elementary school students inclusion. The value of the average (mean) before the given training emphaty character building is of 34.3667, while after the given training emphaty character building is of 35.6333. Empathy means students before training emphaty character building is smaller than once given training, so it looks there is an increase in the value of the mean after being given training of 1.2666.Keywords: Empathy is character building, regular students, elementary school inclusion

The average value (mean) before being given a character building empathy training amounted to 34.3667, while having empathy, character building training provided amounted to 35.6333. Empathy means students before training empathy, character building is smaller than after being given the training, so that there is an increase in the mean looks after the training given by 1.2666.
