Penjelasan penulis merasa perlu dipertegas dengan mendasarkan bahwa sosialisasi dan kampanye politik bukanlah pendidikan politik. tetapi bahwa kampanye yang berupa penyampaian visi, misi dan program kedepan adalah bahagian dari pendidikan politik. kalau kita tidak percaya lihat saja UU Nomor 8 Tahun 2012 tentang Pemilu, UU Nomor 42 Tahun 2008 tentang Pemilihan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden dan Revisi Kedua UU Nomor 1 tahun 2015 tentang Pemilihan Gubernur, Bupati dan Walikota.
Pada setiap pasal dari trisula pemilihan demokratis tidak menyebutkan secara tegas ketentuan pendidikan politik. Pasal 37 UU 42/2008 hanya memuat aturan terkait visi, misi dan program pasangan calon. Sedangkan frase “dalam rangka pendidikan politik”, KPU wajib memfasilitasi penyebarluasan materi kampanye. Apakah materi kampanye menjadi tanggung jawab penyelenggara? Tentu saja bukan dan tidak benar mengatasnamakan pendidikan politik sebatas menyebarluaskan materi kampanye.
