Hingga saat ini sengketa pulau Senkaku Diaoyu masih menjadi permasalahan yang cukup rumit. Karena kedua negara, China dan Jepang, sama-sama memiliki alasan yang kuat untuk menjadikan pulau Senkaku Diaoyu menjadi milik mereka. Sampai saat ini masih terjadi negosiasi yang cukup rumit antara China dan Jepang.
