Penulis merancang SOJET dengan konsep pembuatan cerita anak yang memuat berbagai tokoh wayang termasuk penokohan dalam cerita berbahasa Indonesia. Bahasa Indonesia dipilih untuk mempermudah pemahaman anak akan cerita yang ada. Cerita yang disajikan dalam bentuk pop-up juga memancing keingintahuan anak.
Menurut Teori Cognitive-Developmental dari Jean Piaget dalam (www.erlanggaforkids.com: 2012), mengungkapkan bahwa bermain mampu mengaktifkan otak anak. Pada saat bermain, fungsi otak kanan dan kiri terintegrasi seimbang, struktur syaraf terbentuk dan pilar-pilar syaraf pemahaman berkembang. Kondisi otak yang aktif ini adalah kondisi yang sangat baik untuk menerima pelajaran. Intensitas emosi yang berlangsung selama proses membaca cerita juga berpengaruh terhadap penerimaan dan daya ingat sehingga dampak lebih yang diharapkan yaitu bukan hanya membentuk karakter gemar membaca, keingintahuan, nasionalisme namun juga pemahaman terhadap nilai cerita dan keterampilan berbicara. Dampak lainnya lagi yaitu pengenalan lokal culture.
