Piaget based view of the nature of knowledge ie knowledge is not passively received, but actively constructed by the individual (natsir. 2004: 32). by Piaget in Natsir (2004: 32) the entry of new knowledge or information in cognitive structure through two mechanisms, namely assimilation and accommodation. on assimilation,new information a person facing directly absorbed into the cognitive structure because it contains similarities with existing cognitive structures. while the learners accommodation must modify their cognitive structures so that they can receive new information that it faces.
