Syzygium aqueum is a plant in the family Myrtaceae-Syzygium guava or originating from Southeast Asia. Syzygium aqueum is actually different from jambu, semarang (Syzygium samarangense), relatives nearby who has trees and fruit are almost similar. Some cultivars are even difficult to distinguish, so both are often named after the common name jambu air or jambu only.
